Nysted Orgelmuseum presents a very special family concert with the well-known musician and entertainer Sigurd Barrett. Sigurd is loved by both children and adults for his ability to convey music and stories in an engaging and entertaining way. This concert will be a unique opportunity to experience Sigurd's talented story combined with the 15 organs worth preserving in Nysted Organ Museum.



The concert will focus on conveying the fascinating history and unique sound of the organ to children and their families. Sigurd Barrett will guide the audience through a world of musical adventures, where he will bring the organs to life with his characteristic charm and musicality. Through fun and educational stories, the children will gain insight into the many facets of the organ and its role in the history of music.



Sigurd Barrett will not only play the organs, but will also involve the audience in interactive elements that make the concert both entertaining and educational. Children will have the opportunity to ask questions and participate actively, making the experience even more engaging.



This family concert is part of the SoundScape concert series and is designed to inspire and excite children and young people. With Sigurd Barrett's help, we hope to spark a lifelong interest in music and organs in the next generation.

Family Concert: Sergei Prokofiev Peter and the Wolf Organ: Teresemarie Lisiux, Narration: Søren Ulrichs. This family concert presents Sergei Prokofiev's classic work "Peter and the Wolf".



With our version of Peter and the Wolf, we would like to help bring classical music and fairy tales to the younger generation. We feel it is important to give children an insight into the great diversity and many facets of classical music. A piece like Peter and the Wolf provides an insight into the great range of classical music, and when you combine the music with a captivating fairy tale, both become greater. In some cases, 1+1 can become 3.



We want to help pass on a part of the classical music culture to the next generation and to spread the knowledge of the organ, which is a fantastic instrument with possibilities beyond the usual. In the organ you have all the possibilities to create the illusion of an orchestra. The story is told with many means.

Tersemarie and Søren have worked together in many different musical contexts, both soloists and also as singers in, among others, the vocal ensemble HC Andersen Vocal Ensemble and various smaller vocal ensembles.

Teresemarie Lisiux is a trained pianist from the Southern Danish Academy of Music and Acting School in Odense and is also a trained organist and choir conductor and has worked as an organist in, among others, Fredens Church in Odense and Nyvangskirken in Kalundborg.
