Nysted Orgelmuseum presents a very special family concert with the well-known musician and entertainer Sigurd Barrett. Sigurd is loved by both children and adults for his ability to convey music and stories in an engaging and entertaining way. This concert will be a unique opportunity to experience Sigurd's talented story combined with the 15 organs worth preserving in Nysted Organ Museum.



The concert will focus on conveying the fascinating history and unique sound of the organ to children and their families. Sigurd Barrett will guide the audience through a world of musical adventures, where he will bring the organs to life with his characteristic charm and musicality. Through fun and educational stories, the children will gain insight into the many facets of the organ and its role in the history of music.



Sigurd Barrett will not only play the organs, but will also involve the audience in interactive elements that make the concert both entertaining and educational. Children will have the opportunity to ask questions and participate actively, making the experience even more engaging.



This family concert is part of the SoundScape concert series and is designed to inspire and excite children and young people. With Sigurd Barrett's help, we hope to spark a lifelong interest in music and organs in the next generation.

Sigurd Barrett Family Concert

German composer, pianist, sound artist and radio drama writer Ulrike Haage is one of the most versatile artists in Germany today. She previously played piano in the female big band Reichlich Weiblich and later became part of the highly acclaimed Rainbirds with Katharina Franck as the core of the band.



Ulrike Haage has participated in cross-border, experimental projects such as Vladimir Estragon with musicians such as Alfred Harth, FM Einheit and Phil Minton and has contributed to theatre productions in Zurich, Düsseldorf, Hamburg and Berlin. Since 2006 she has worked regularly with drummer Eric Schaefer.



She composes and directs contemporary works for film and radio, mostly published by the audiobook publisher Sans Soleil and the record label Blue Pearls Music. Her many works for film, radio and stage impressively demonstrate how inspiring it is to work with artists from other disciplines.
