DR Girls Choir

Since 1938, the DR Girls' Choir has invited Danes into the music and songs of Christmas every year, and in recent years the choir has developed and expanded the Christmas concerts to become a very special and visual concert experience that invites several generations into the living music and memories of Christmas.

At the Christmas concerts, Christmas music and traditions are curiously explored and unfolded in a modern, staged musical story that puts Christmas traditions and symbols in a contemporary light.

The sound of a girls' choir meeting a string quartet is irresistibly beautiful.

But when it comes to the DR Girls' Choir and the Danish String Quartet, it is also full of power, strength and a wealth of musical possibilities.

The two Danish ensembles are both internationally recognized, and they have toured together several times in the USA and Europe. Now they are facing their biggest joint adventure yet: a high-profile tour to New York, California and Washington DC.
