Ballet sponsorship classes

The Opera Workshop is a compact seminar in which participants learn all the key aspects of an opera production. It typically takes place on Friday evenings (usually from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.) and the following Saturday in a six-hour block with appropriate breaks. Elsa of Brabant is suspected of having killed her younger brother Gottfried in the forest. When King Henry the Fowler asks Elsa to defend herself, she pleads for an imaginary knight to come to her aid. Suddenly, Lohengrin, the Knight of the Swan, appears. He promises to fight for Elsa, but makes her promise beforehand never to question him about his identity or provenance.

Elisabeth Stöppler's production of "Stockhausen for Children: Michael's Journey" offers children ages 6 and up, as well as adults, a sensory experience of Karlheinz Stockhausen's cycle "Light," a monumental work of the younger musical avant-garde. Together with Michael, portrayed by a solo trumpet, the audience embarks on a fantastical journey around the world, immersed in the infinite expanses of the universe and rarely heard sounds.
