Idaho Shakespeare Festival

Angel Wang, violinist, celebrated for her expressive artistry and culture crossing vision brings an exciting new concert to the George Weston Recital Hall. Presented by the Phoenix Orchestra, a chamber ensemble she founded and leads, the concert "Berlin.Butterfly.Brazil" pays tribute to the classics of Berlin, the beloved Butterfly Lovers concerto from China, and the passionate Latin flair of Astor Piazolla. The evening will feature a special guest appearance by DASHAN, Canada's most renowned Western performer in China, who will serve as the concert's MC and also, in a captivating fusion of language, music and animation, will recite classical Chinese poetry providing the audience with an immersive cultural experience.
