After the death of his girlfriend, Jonah has withdrawn into an artificial world where he surrounds himself with humanoid robots. With Alma, he has created a seemingly perfect new companion, whose memory he erases every night. Inspired by his friendship with a child, however, she develops her own desires and demands her right to self-determination. A dangerous game of life and death erupts between human and android.
