Monasteries were not only places of spirituality, but also cultural centers. They attracted composers whose music was preserved in the archives and passed on between friendly monasteries. In the 1960s, Robert Münster, then head of the music department of the Bavarian State Library, embarked on a musical treasure hunt: He rummaged through music cabinets and organ lofts in monasteries throughout Bavaria – with great success. In the process, he discovered true rarities, including works by W.A. Mozart. In our concert, you have the unique opportunity to experience further treasures from Münster's legacy live for the first time in over 250 years.

The Salzburg Hedge Theatre, located in the magnificent baroque Mirabell Gardens, is one of the oldest natural theaters north of the Alps. Its auditorium, orchestra pit, and semicircular stage framed by hedges, with exceptionally good acoustics, make it a unique venue under the skies of Mozart's city. In this natural atmosphere, the woodwind quintet of the Musik Ensemble Salzburg, with its classical dances and serenades, will join the Austrian female brass quintet quinTTTonic, which will present lively arrangements from Johann Strauss to Max Raabe. Now all we need is the sun to shine!
