Forgotten for too long, the composer deploys in her Third Symphony, created in 1847, a fiery energy coupled with remarkable melodic inventiveness. As for Mozart, his monumental "Jupiter" Symphony represents his final and masterful contribution to the symphonic genre. Medea

O Fortuna! Two words, a few notes, and an entire hall holds its breath. Composed in 1937 by Carl Orff to medieval Latin and Middle High German poems, Carmina Burana is one of the most frequently performed choral works in the world. A celebration of fortune, love, and the pleasures of life, it summons an orchestral and choral energy of extraordinary magnitude. For this production, director Anne Lopez imbues the stage with a powerful scenic vision, enhanced by Mathieu Cabanes' lighting. Conductor Roderick Cox leads the Orchestra and Chorus of the Opéra Orchestre national Montpellier Occitanie, joined by the young voices of Opéra Junior and the Goyang Festival Choir from South Korea. Two hundred artists on stage, all dedicated to the same score. An event worthy of the work: total, collective, unforgettable.

Chudahye Chagis is a genre-defying psychedelic shamanic funk band led by Chu Dahye, a sorikkun (traditional Korean vocalist) whose voice conveys the spirit and depth of Korean musical heritage. Their distinctive sound blends ancient muga (Korean shamanic chants and songs) with contemporary influences such as reggae, jazz, hip-hop, funk, electronica, and rock. Their music invites listeners to have their own chagi—a personal and shared experience that transcends genre, time, and tradition.

Born in Colombia in 1995, this young musician won a prize at the prestigious Malko Competition in Copenhagen in 2024 and is principal assistant conductor of the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande. Her energetic conducting promises an intense performance. Alongside her, the young Viennese violin prodigy, Leonhard Baumgartner (born in 2007, winner of the 2024 Eurovision Young Musicians competition), will shine in Brahms' Violin Concerto in D major, Op. 77.

Tierra del Fuego

The Fine Arts exhibition was scheduled to open soon in the Concert Hall. All the artworks had already arrived. Fortunately, the artistic committee, alerted in time, was able to salvage them. However, the day after the fire, when the inventory was taken, one piece was missing. Staff members are adamant: none of the pieces remained in storage the day before. At the time, the police tried unsuccessfully to unmask the thief. A list of suspects was drawn up. But, lacking evidence, the case was closed. A recent discovery has reopened the case: an anonymous letter, authenticated by experts, was found in the Opera's archives. The director general has called upon the most skilled investigators to shed light on this affair. To maximize the chances of success, the scene of the theft has been entirely recreated in the theater, which was rebuilt after the fire.
