The fifth concert of the season is imbued with feminine energy. The orchestra has invited the star New Zealand conductor Gemma New, who will present the Overture No. 2 by the 19th-century French composer Louise Farrenc. Given the social classification and the limited women's rights at the time, Farrenc was an extraordinary phenomenon.
