In the Shadows is a concert programme that highlights the historical underrepresentation of women in classical music. It features rarely performed pieces by composers such as Pauline Viardot, Clara Wieck Schumann, Lili Boulanger, Nadia Boulanger, Ethel Smyth, Germaine Tailleferre and Alma Mahler, shedding light on the significant contributions these composers made to music history, contributions which have long been overlooked.
