Written when Mozart was just fourteen, Mitridate is a suspenseful psychological drama of fractured familial relationships, jealousy, aging, betrayal, and erotic desire. Based on Jean Racine's play Mithridate, the opera explores the search for truth amid illusion and misrepresentation.
