This season, the MUK Choir presents a Lenten concert in the atmospheric setting of the Franciscan Church. The program takes you on an impressive and contrasting sonic journey through the 20th and into the 21st centuries: Leonard Bernstein's rhythmically captivating Missa Brevis and Francis Poulenc's poignant Lenten motets, Quatre motets pour un temps de pénitence, form the two main stops, atmospherically complemented by Olivier Messiaen's mystically radiant O sacrum convivium and the contemplatively floating sounds of Arvo Pärt's Da Pacem Domine and Ola Gjeilo's Ubi caritas .
