In May 2026, British saxophonist, composer, and bandleader Emma Rawicz will come to Vienna for an exciting collaboration with the MUK.jazzorchestra. This project marks both her big band debut in Austria and her first performance in Vienna. Together, they will present a multifaceted program of Rawicz's original compositions for jazz orchestra—music that transcends stylistic boundaries and unites influences from a wide range of genres: from the orchestral soundscapes of big band greats like Kenny Wheeler, Maria Schneider, and Nikki Iles, to groove-driven rock elements and folk melodies, all the way to classical music and singer-songwriter atmospheres.
