More details
The program begins with Mozart's Quartet No. 15, from the collection of 6 quartets opus 10, dedicated to his friend and mentor, Joseph Haydn. While Haydn is often referred to as the father of the string quartet, Mozart can be seen as the one who, under the influence of Haydn's quartets, developed the genre towards Beethoven's groundbreaking string quartets in particular.
