Birkerød Kammermusikforening

Trio con Brio has been beloved guests at Birkam's concerts for many years. The ensemble was founded in Vienna during the three musicians' stay there in 1999, but is now based in Copenhagen. The trio consists of sisters Soo-Jin Hong, violinist, and Soo-Kyung Hong, cellist, both born in South Korea.

István Székely, born in Hungary, is now a professor at the Katarina Gurska Superior Conservatory in Madrid and at the Franz Liszt Center for Special Talents in La Nurcia, Spain. He is a concert pianist and internationally renowned teacher who has given masterclasses in Budapest, the World Teachers' Conference in Novi Sad, Serbia, at the Katarina Gurska Conservatory, at the Forum Musikae in Madrid, as well as at many other international piano festivals in both the South American continent (especially Columbia), in North America and in all corners of Europe. He has played solo concerts at countless European chamber music festivals.

As a violinist, Anna has already participated in DR's TV competitions for children's soloists as a child. Anna studied her bachelor's degree at the Royal Danish Academy of Music in Copenhagen with Alexandre Zapolski and then went to Lausanne in Switzerland, where she attended a soloist master's degree. From September 2019, she will be attending the soloist class with Professor Tim Frederiksen.

The festival is held in the Mantzius Cultural Center with a concert hall, foyer, outdoor areas and in Restaurant Mantzius.
