Husets Teater

The ex-soldier Woyzeck loves his wife Marie. Trapped in a system that exploits him, he struggles every day to support his family and make his life work. To earn money, he participates in medical experiments where he is only allowed to eat peas. Hunger, humiliation and powerlessness etch their way into his mind. Reality begins to crumble, and the war he knows from his service invades his thoughts. Jealousy grows and turns into an obsession that leads him towards a fateful deroute.

Woyzeck

Dramatisk Salon is a reading event dedicated to new Danish drama. Here, two playwrights are invited each time to read from their own texts – these can be previous works or completely new texts that have never before met an audience. The readings are followed by a moderated conversation, where the playwrights share insights into their working process, sources of inspiration and approach to the art of drama. The audience is actively invited into the conversation and can ask questions.

Food artist Flora Veronica and director Johan Klint Sandberg return to Husets Teater with their interactive food theater.  The Dinner Party is the space where the world is tasted, sensed and understood anew – together. A place we seek out when reality is crazy. Here we gather the big and small events in the outside world, consume them and find a way forward that can only arise together.
