Ibrahim Maalouf lights up a huge party at Bremen Theatre
Over the past 15 years, the French/Lebanese Ibrahim Maalouf has made a name for himself in France and on the international stage with more than 19 albums under his belt, two Grammy nominations and a title as winner of the world's largest international classical trumpet competitions. Maalouf has also collaborated and performed with names such as Sting, A$AP Rocky, Angélique Kidjo, Melody Gardot, Kronos Quartet, Salif Keita, Stevie Wonder, John Legend, Jacob Collier, Josh Groban, Marcus Miller and many more, while Jon Batiste introduced him as a living legend when they performed together on Stephen Colbert.

Erik Grip has been with us all the way – from the mid-70s to the present – ​​always with the same tone and sound of longing and call to do better. As he said in an interview when he turned 61: “It's about being loved and being touched. We need to be taken seriously, be clearer and be present."

Tunisian composer, singer and oud virtuoso Dhafer Youssef has made a name for himself across borders for decades with his fusion of Eastern musical traditions and modern inspirations. His dynamic, unique and captivating universe blends elements from Sufi music, ethno-jazz, new age and fusion jazz with roots in Arabic music as well as inspirations from both classical, electronic and global music.

He has collaborated with a number of renowned artists, including Herbie Hancock, Marcus Miller, Markus Stockhausen, Dave Holland, Nguyên Lê and Rakesh Chaurasia, released a long list of critically acclaimed albums – including on the leading record label ACT, and has performed on some of the world's largest stages and festivals.

Bertrand Belin comes to Bremen Teater in Copenhagen on May 3 with sophisticated, French-language compositions
French songwriter, actor and author Bertrand Belin has been a frequent guest in Denmark in recent years. On May 3rd at Bremen Teater he returns with his French-language universe between chanson, sophisticated melodies and seductive grooves in the wake of the excellent Tambour Vision from 2022 and his latest album Watt from 2025.

Maren Uthaug and Benjamin Koppel come to Bremen Teater, where live drawing and live music meet on stage.
When the 2023 Golden Laurels were to be awarded, there were only two real candidates: Maren Uthaug's 11% and Benjamin Koppel's Annas Sang. The battle was close and fierce, and as far as is known, it was the first time in the history of the laurels that a close count was needed to determine which of the two won. It was the beginning of a close friendship between the two high-profile artists, who are now inviting you to an evening quite out of the ordinary.

In addition to being among the most widely read authors in recent years, the two good friends also master their own art form - Maren Uthaug has thrilled with her drawn strips for more than ten years, Benjamin Koppel with his music.

With immortal classics like “You make me feel like a natural woman”, “Think”, “Chain of Fools” and “Respect”, the legend, who sadly left us in 2018, has moved and thrilled fans worldwide. Singers Patrick Dorgan, Karen Mukupa and Marie Carmen Koppel take the audience on an emotional rollercoaster ride of the greats, from goosebump-inducing fervor to uplifting party atmosphere, when the Benjamin Koppel Jazz Galla dives into The Queen of Soul’s vast song catalog.

Since the Jazz Galla’s first concert during Summer Jazz 2013, the ensemble has toured Denmark to full and enthusiastic houses. On stage, the soloists are musically supported by saxophonist and bandleader Benjamin Koppel, who leads a team of excellent and internationally recognized top jazz musicians; Anders Rose on piano, superb bassist Jesper Bodilsen and Swedish drum wizard Zoltan Csörsz. Time and again, Jazz Galla has managed to rearrange, interpret and renew popular classics with a jazzy twist – and this time will be no exception.

Brazilian legend Marcos Valle is coming to Bremen Theatre.
Across 22 albums, Marcos Valle has cemented his status as a pure Brazilian legend in everything from bossa nova, boogie-funk samba, jazz, disco to soul and much more.

His songs have been recorded by Frank Sinatra, Sarah Vaughn and Sergio Mendes, and he has been sampled by Jay-Z, Kanye West, Pusha T and many more. Last year he released the album "Túnel Acústico" in the wake of a packed summer concert in Copenhagen, and now he returns when he takes over Bremen Teater on June 1, 2026 with songs from his entire exuberant back catalog.

Mezzoforte comes to Bremen Teater with their solid and groovy fusion jazz-funk
Mezzoforte burst through the sound barrier with their smash hit 'Garden Party' in 1983 and have since spread their solid groovy North Atlantic jazz-funk to the whole world. Eythor, Fridrik and Johann form the original core of the band and the chemistry is the same when the group from Reykjavik takes over the Bremen Theatre in July.

They have been together for 40 years, and therefore played two sold-out anniversary shows in Reykjavik in September 2017. It was Steinar Berg who saw the potential in the band early on. It took four albums to break through to the charts, and with the album Surprise Surprise from 1982, Mezzoforte hit both the charts and the dance floors of discos with 'Garden Party', which was also arranged by Chris Cameron.

Buki-Yamaz reunites and plays a concert at Bremen Teater during Copenhagen Jazz Festival 2026.
After more than four decades of absence, the Danish Latin-funk ensemble Buki-Yamaz returns to the stage. In December 2025, the band will play two exclusive anniversary concerts to mark the 50th anniversary of their debut album in 1975. Both concerts sold out in record time, and now the group is coming to Bremen Teater during this summer's Copenhagen Jazz Festival.

As one of the most style-setting orchestras of the 70s, Buki-Yamaz mixed jazz, funk, Latin and psychedelic elements with uncompromising musicality and intense live energy. In their short but groundbreaking career, they managed to release five albums in just four years, play up to 100 concerts annually and were a regular at Roskilde Festival from 1974 to 1979.

Mari Froes comes to Bremen Teater with warm and sensual waves of MPB, bossa nova and samba
São Paulo-born Mari Froes has positioned herself at the forefront of the new wave of MPB (Música Popular Brasileira), which in her sensual universe seamlessly blends with warm bossa nova, samba and jazz.

She entered COLORS with a beautiful interpretation of the Brazilian song Gabriela , and with a signing to the record label 777 Music Group, Froes is truly on a rocket towards the stars. After her concert at Hotel Cecil sold out in record time, she will now return to Denmark this summer with a concert at Bremen Teater during the Copenhagen Jazz Festival.
