Lotte lies sleepless in her apartment. She has been abandoned by the love of her life, Michael. She has also just been fired from her job as a social worker. Throughout her adult years, Lotte has been committed to the community and her fellow human beings. She has taken care of the weakest, but now no one takes care of her. Suddenly, Michael's adult son, Daniel, calls, unable to reach his father. They find Michael beaten to death in his apartment, and together with Daniel, Lotte sets out to solve Michael's mysterious death.

How is she supposed to function in that society, with her great love of words? Because what do the taciturn West Jutlanders actually think about in the pauses between their sentences? And how does she avoid filling the silence with gibberish?

Dear Evan Hansen is a touching and heartbreaking story about the longing to be seen and to belong. The musical, created in 2015, has played with great success on Broadway in New York and in the West End in London, and was adapted into a film in 2021. The music and the incredibly moving songs were written by Grammy, Tony, Olivier and Oscar winners Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, who also wrote the lyrics for the films La La Land and The Greatest Showman.

Barbara is one of the great love novels in Nordic literature. It is from 1939, written by Faroese Jørgen-Frantz Jacobsen and tells the story of the Danish theologian Poul's erotic obsession with Barbara, Thorshavn's legendary femme fatale. She is known locally as a notorious seductress and infamous for her stormy relationships with men. Men like Danish-Protestant Poul, who is lifted for a time on the roaring waves of love and then drowns in the dark madness of disappointed desire.
