When the accounts are finally settled regarding Danish rock music, as it has developed over the past 50 years, one will inevitably find The Savage Rose somewhere at the very top of the pyramid. Annisette and the rest of her band were ahead of their time about 40 years ago - and they still are. Their debut album The Savage Rose from 1968 helped revolutionize Danish rock and at the same time define it as a completely independent art form.
