Opening with Mozart’s early work, written in America’s birth year of 1776, this program features three celebrated American composers, including the Boston premiere of Wuorinen’s Piano Trio No. 2 which was discovered after his death and dedicated to the Horszowski Trio. Longy alumnus Carter, who studied with N. Boulanger, wrote his Epigrams as his very last work, composed at the age of 103. As a contrast, Bernstein wrote his Trio at the age of 18 ...
