Ragamala Dance Company

Founded by Alvin Ailey on March 30, 1958, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater (AAADT) is one of the most acclaimed dance companies in the world. With a repertory that boasts close to 300 works by more than 100 choreographers, it has performed in more than 70 countries on six continents and has been designated a “vital American Cultural Ambassador to the World” by a U.S. Congressional resolution. 

Forged during a pivotal moment in the civil rights movement, AAADT was established to uplift the African American experience while transcending boundaries of race, faith and nationality with its universal humanity. As the company grew, Ailey invited dancers of all backgrounds to be a part of his vision while reimagining his company as a “library of dance,” a home for a wide range of choreographers’ works that might otherwise be lost—the first modern dance company of its kind. He expanded the global audience for dance with his visionary model and technically dazzling works. 

Today, AAADT continues to bring joy and elation to audiences around the globe, while expanding its repertory with works by new choreographers and upholding Ailey’s legacy for future generations.

Distinguished by its virtuosity, probing musical insight, and impassioned, fiery performances, the Ariel Quartet has garnered critical praise worldwide for more than a quarter of a century.  

Formed when the members were just teenagers, the Ariel Quartet has performed at leading venues across the globe, including Carnegie Hall, the Lincoln Center, the Kennedy Center and the Kaisersaal in Frankfurt. Their recording of Brahms and Bartók for Avie Records has been critically acclaimed, and they regularly collaborate with artists such as Inon Barnatan, the Mark Morris Dance Group and cellist Alisa Weilerstein. 

Renowned for their interpretations of Beethoven’s quartets, the Ariel Quartet has performed the complete Beethoven cycle numerous times throughout the United States and Europe. They regularly collaborate with eminent musicians, including pianists Jeremy Denk and Orion Weiss, cellists Paul Watkins and Claudio Bohorquez, and, in 2020, gave the U.S. premiere of the Quintet for Piano and Strings by Daniil Trifonov with the composer as pianist.

Ragamala Dance Company’s Children of Dharma explores life—forever sprouting, transforming, dissolving and renewing—through three characters from the Hindu epic The Mahabharata; these myths reveal the power of ancient cultures to reaffirm humanity’s relationship with nature and the sacred.  

Co-created by Aparna Ramaswamy, Ranee Ramaswamy and Ashwini Ramaswamy, Children of Dharma centers South Indian embodied rituals in the immigrant experience—upholding dance as a spiritual practice that can inspire, heal and transform.

Peppa Pig, along with Mummy Pig, Daddy Pig and George, visit the Gogue Center for Peppa Pig: My First Concert—a fun, interactive introduction to a live orchestra for ages 18 months and older. Peppa and George learn all about the different sounds that instruments make together and enjoy some of their favorite music from the show played by Southbank Sinfonia, as well as discover some other exciting orchestral pieces perfect for children. Children can join in with Peppa and her family and make music of their own!

Little River Band garnered massive success with multi-platinum albums and chart-topping hits in the 70s and 80s—their worldwide album sales and digital downloads amassing more than 350 million to date. In 2025, Little River Band continues to deliver distinctive harmonies and vocal abilities under the direction of lead vocalist and bass player, Wayne Nelson, who has contributed his talents to 24 of Little River Band’s LPs. The group has undergone an evolution or two since its origins as an Australian rock band hungry to make it in America, but fans nostalgic for such tunes as “Reminiscing” or “Lady” can hear the current incarnation for a night of fantastic music, memories and more this spring at the Bill and Carol Ham Amphitheatre.

Travis Tritt is one of country music’s most distinctive and enduring voices, a singer, songwriter, and performer whose career has spanned more than three decades. Known for blending traditional country with Southern rock, blues, and gospel influences, Tritt has carved out a sound that is unmistakably his own and earned him a place among the most respected artists in the genre.

Born in Marietta, Georgia, in 1963, Tritt developed a love of music early on, teaching himself guitar and writing songs as a teenager. Influenced by the classic country of Waylon Jennings and Hank Williams Jr. alongside the grit of Southern rock, he forged a style that would later set him apart in Nashville.

Tritt signed with Warner Bros. Records in 1989, releasing his debut album Country Club the following year. The title track and “Help Me Hold On” established him as a rising star. His 1991 release, It’s All About to Change, became a multi-platinum success with hits like “Here’s a Quarter (Call Someone Who Cares)” and “Anymore.” His energetic mix of heartfelt ballads and rollicking anthems resonated with fans and fueled his reputation as a magnetic live performer.

Hailing from both the Appalachian and Piedmont regions of North Carolina, the Steep Canyon Rangers have long held traditional bluegrass paramount, while possessing an exceptional ability to bring it down the mountain. In their last few albums, the band has gained recognition from well beyond the world of bluegrass, earning a reputation as one of today’s most influential Americana songwriting groups. Throughout their esteemed career, the three-time Grammy nominees have released 14 studio albums, three collaborative albums with actor and banjoist Steve Martin, been inducted into the North Carolina Music Hall of Fame, and appeared on some of music’s biggest stages.

Della Mae is a Grammy-nominated all-woman string band featuring founding members Celia Woodsmith (lead vocalist/guitarist) and two-time Grand National champion fiddle player Kimber Ludiker, along with guitarist Avril Smith and two-time IBMA Bass Player of the Year Vickie Vaughn. Hailing from across North America, and reared in diverse musical styles, Della Mae is one of the most charismatic and engaging roots bands touring today. They have traveled to more than 30 countries, spreading peace and understanding through music. Della Mae’s mission is to showcase top female musicians and improve opportunities for women and girls through advocacy, mentorship, programming and performance.
