"From My Life," the famous string quartet by Bedřich Smetana, and the Piano Quintet in F minor by Johannes Brahms form the demanding framework of this concert. A stylistic counterpoint to this is provided by "La Oración Del Torero," a piece by the Spanish composer Joaquín Turina.
