Playing is the joy and satisfaction of touring, but it comes with the hard part -- travel, the endless miles on a bus. There’s no dodging the wear and tear, and Little Feat has been playing for quite a while. With tongue stuck somewhat in cheek, Little Feat announces “The Last Farewell Tour,” which will begin in April 2026.

It’s definitely not an absolute, never-gonna-play again statement. This wind-down will take several years to accomplish, and while it does, Feat will continue to perform and record as long as they are able. It’s a retirement from the travel of touring.

Rather than destruction or collapse, Alice Phoebe Lou’s oblivion is a deep, inky place where motes of softly burning potential gently drift into life. The South African-born, Europe-based singer-songwriter reached past the torrential noise of modern life and into another space to pull out luminous melodies and intimate lyrics, turning them into playful, profound songs that honor the sublime simplicity of her busking years. “Instead of overthinking the outcome and the judgment, these songs are just creating for myself, a coming home,” she says of Oblivion (due October 24 via Nettwerk Music Group). “Tapping into this unawareness of unconsciousness sounds like bliss. Oblivion is a place where you can forget what others see in you and find your true essence.”

With surprises woven throughout, this heartfelt celebration promises to be joy-filled, and truly unforgettable!

For emo music lovers and orchestra aficionados alike, Emo Orchestra is a new live experience that brings some of the most beloved emo songs of your youth to the theater stage with a full orchestra arrangement. This Spring, Emo Orchestra welcomes THE SPILL CANVAS as the featured guest. Fans will hear THE SPILL CANVAS perform their own hits as well as songs by Taking Back Sunday, Fall Out Boy, A Day to Remember, The Used and many more.

Led and curated by singer-songwriter and violinist Carrie Rodriguez, Laboratorio is an annual four-part concert series that utilizes world-class musicianship, the visual arts, and storytelling to explore and celebrate Latine culture. Each show features Carrie and the all-star Laboratorio house band in collaboration with different guest artists.  
 

Laboratorio returns to Austin’s historic State Theatre with Edición Colombia, an immersive exploration of Colombian music and culture featuring members of Austin's highly celebrated Colombian bands, Superfónicos and Nemegata. Their respective band leaders and multi-instrumentalists, Jaime Ospina and Victor-Andrés Cruz (aka “El Guámbito”), will take us on a journey through the varied musical traditions and regions of Colombia—from the Pacific to the Caribbean Coast, inland to the Andes mountains, and on to the shores of the Amazon River.

Josh Ritter is a renowned singer, songwriter, musician, artist and best-selling author. One of today’s most thoughtful and prolific voices, he has released eleven studio albums including 2019’s widely acclaimed ‘Fever Breaks’ of which NPR Music praised, “He remains a hydrant of ideas while embodying an endless capacity for empathy and indignation, often within a single song.”

His twelfth studio album ‘I Believe in You, My Honeydew’ is out now. Two-plus decades into his celebrated career, Ritter has written music that has transcended generations including luminaries such as Bob Dylan, Joan Baez, and Bob Weir covering his songs. 

The Book of Gold Thrown Open tour is meant to encompass the whole of Ritter’s career, versus focusing on any one studio album.

In addition to his work as a musician, Ritter is also a national best-selling author, having released two novels to date: 2021’s The Great Glorious Goddamn of It All and 2011’s Bright’s Passage. Released to critical attention, Stephen King wrote in The New York Times Book Review that Bright’s Passage “shines with a compressed lyricism that recalls Ray Bradbury in his prime…This is the work of a gifted novelist.”
