Spend an evening exploring the ideas, art, and conversations shaping how we move forward collectively. Villa Albertine’s Night of Ideas returns in 2026 with an after-dark celebration of art, innovation, and culture across cities in the U.S. Night of Ideas San Francisco’s theme, Lighting the Way, invites our Bay Area audiences to explore how ideas, creativity, and collective action can illuminate paths forward, helping reveal new ways of thinking and connecting about what’s next, as we look ahead to the next 250 years after the American Declaration of Independence.

 From cultural expression to shared responsibility, Lighting the Way asks what guides us, what inspires positive change, and how we can actively shape a more connected future together.

Join us for the 47th Annual Gala! This festive evening at the historic San Francisco War Memorial Building will include SFGC Alum Michele Kennedy and our very own Premier Ensemble and Concert Group performing in the Herbst Theatre followed by a gala reception in the Green Room.

Together We Rise is a concert that reflects the world we are intentionally creating - one rooted in humanity, light, and connection. Grounded in the wisdom and energy of our ancestors from across the globe, we gather to imagine and build what comes next. This concert will feature the San Francisco Girls Chorus directed by Valerie Sainte Agathe alongside celebrated artists Mahsa Vahdat (Iranian singer), Diana Gameros (Mexican singer/songwriter) and Clarissa Bitar (Palestinian-American oud virtuoso).Through lullabies and songs of resistance and freedom, we honor both where we come from and where we’re going. This evening is a celebration of the power of music to bring us together, to uplift one another, and to rise - collectively.
