The season finale is as personal as it is powerful.  Curated and conducted by award-winning Filipino-Chinese composer Saunder Choi, this concert journeys across the Pacific with music from the Phillippines, China, and the United States. Blending cultural works with Choi's own compositions, the music evokes horizons where sea and sky meet in a story of heritage, identity, and discovery.

The SACRA/PROFANA Summer Choral Intensive, created by San Diego’s leading professional chamber choir and co-sponsored by San Diego State University, aims to equip students entering grade 7 through high school graduates of 2026 with a high-level choral experience. Students in the program will rehearse and perform challenging choral repertoire, attend music theory classes, hear from guest speakers such as local professors and professional musicians, and benefit from group sectionals with a professional of their specific voice type. The week culminates in a final performance featuring choral works rehearsed during the program. SCI will be led by SACRA/PROFANA’s Artistic Director, Juan Carlos Acosta, San Diego State University Associate Professor of Music/Director of Choral Studies, Dr. Arian Khaefi and Point Loma Nazarene University Professor of Music/Choral Director, Dr. Keith Pedersen.

With radiant voices and expansive sound, the ensemble invites audiences to look skyward and be inspired. From sacred works that meditate on the heavens to secular pieces that celebrate the beauty of the night sky, The Infinite and the Divine offers different perspectives on the stars, the night sky, and our place in this universe.
