The show’s Musical Director, Rachel Modest, has been leading gospel choirs for over 25 years. In 2022, she gained national recognition as a semi-finalist on ITV’s The Voice, where she was mentored by the legendary Tom Jones.

Rachel personally arranged a dynamic setlist of more than 20 classic tracks for the Motown Gospel Choir, describing it as “a fresh take on Motown’s greatest hits, infused with rich gospel harmonies. Gospel music has always been my foundation, and blending it with the songs that shaped my childhood has been an incredible journey.”

The band perform for over 2 hours delivering energetic and blistering performances of classic songs such as “Highway Star”, “Black Night”, “Woman from Tokyo”, “Child in Time”, “Perfect Strangers”, “Burn”, “Mistreated” and of course their best-known hit, “Smoke on the Water”.
