The Jazz Orchestra welcomes guest drummer Ari Hoenig for their first concert of the spring quarter. Dubbed a “postbop daredevil” (Time Out New York) for whom “rhythm is a contact sport” (New York Times), Hoenig has performed with the Kenny Werner Trio, the Chris Potter Underground, and the Joshua Redman Elastic Band, as well as bands led by Wayne Krantz, Mike Stern, Richard Bona, and Pat Martino.
