Chorus of Westerly

Salt Marsh Opera

The Chorus of Westerly and Salt Marsh Opera are proud to present the Grammy Award-winning Brooklyn Youth Chorus at Kent Hall.
Led by Founder & Artistic Director Dianne Berkun Menaker, Brooklyn Youth Chorus has spent over three decades stretching the artistic boundaries of choral music. Renowned for performing on the world’s most prestigious stages—from Carnegie Hall to Madison Square Garden—the ensemble has collaborated with icons like the New York Philharmonic, Sir Elton John, and Bon Iver. As a bold commissioner of new music, they have premiered over 140 original works by visionaries such as Philip Glass and Caroline Shaw, and recently debuted the immersive choral theater work Port(al) at the Brooklyn Navy Yard. Since 1992, the Chorus has empowered over 10,000 students, nurturing empathy and resilience through a world-class musical education.
