Even when it seems like the outside world is ending, Jutes continues to construct his own world from within. It’s a space where hazy alternative, turbulent metal, sexed-up R&B, and future-facing hip-hop not only collide, but co-mingle as a concentrated catharsis. It’s a place where jarring fits of detuned guitar grind up against seductive harmonies and hyper-charged bars. For as much as it’s grounded in raw emotion and primal yearning, it’s an escape from reality soundtracked by anthems you can mosh to or make-out to. Hailing from Toronto, Jutes eventually followed his passion to Los Angeles. He never simply “dabbled” in genres.

Born and raised in East Texas, Chance Peña is a 25-year-old artist, songwriter, and producer whose music bridges traditional storytelling with modern sonic influences. After signing with Secret Road Music Publishing at 17, he quickly gained traction with early placements like “Up, Up & Away” in the film Five Feet Apart and later earned a Grammy nomination for co-writing John Legend’s song “Conversations in the Dark.” Peña has since released three EPs, numerous singles, and his 2024 debut album Ever-Shifting, Continual Blossoming, amassing over a billion Spotify streams to date and selling out tours across the US, UK, and Europe. He's collaborated with artists across various genres, from working with KYGO and Julia Michels on 2024’s “Louder,” to joining country-rock singer/songwriter Sam Barber for the duet “Better Than the Floor.”

A DIY project with worldwide scope, Slow Magic is universal and inclusive. It’s cosmic electronic music culled from the ether, yet crafted with human hands. It’s joyous, escapist, multi-disciplinary art that mixes transcendent performance with the nostalgic intimacy of two teenagers staying up too late on the phone.

After the release of 2012’s beloved and critically-acclaimed Triangle, Slow Magic became an international movement after touring with artists like Gold Panda and XXYYXX. Crowds found a masked man in their midst, bathed in fantastic light, with electronic triggers and a drum. The future-primitive combination infused the project’s electronic compositions with new life.

Hailing from Philadelphia and now based in the vibrant city of Charleston, SC, alt indie hip-hop duo Little Stranger (Kevin and John Shields, no relation but best friends) have spent years honing their signature sound and perfecting their version of the “organized chaos” that a Little Stranger live show entails. In an era where genre is increasingly irrelevant, Little Stranger delivers a fresh take on melodic hip-hop garnering comparisons to newer artists like Remi Wolf, Still Woozy, and Marc Rebillet but also the golden age of hip hop running into pop epitomized by early 2000s Timberland, Gorillaz and NERD.

His latest single, “i think i’m addicted,” a collaboration with Haley Joelle, explores a softer emotional register, balancing vocal intimacy with spacious, synth-led production. Alongside his growing body of work, oskar med k has established a remarkable live presence, selling out stages across Europe and North America. There’s always been something elusive about Channel Tres. Not mysterious in a calculated way more like someone operating on his own wavelength entirely. Channel Tres has always existed between scenes. Raised in Compton, he built his sound by pulling from house, rap, funk, and West Coast soul without fully belonging to any one world. That tension became his signature. Since emerging in 2018 with Channel Tres EP—powered by “Topdown” and “Controller”—he’s carved out a lane entirely his own: hypnotic club music with the weight and presence of hip-hop. His records move with restraint and confidence, balancing deadpan delivery, heavy grooves, and understated emotion. Over the years, Channel has collaborated across generations and genres, working alongside artists including Tyler, The Creator, KAYTRANADA, SG Lewis, and Jungle, while building a reputation as one of the most compelling live performers in electronic music. From underground clubs to the stages of Coachella and Bonnaroo, his presence has remained unmistakable: calm, magnetic, and impossible to pin down. His 2024 debut album, Head Rush, expanded that vision further, blending electronic production with R&B, rap, and psychedelic funk. But the anticipated follow-up, Enigma, marks a deeper shift. In early 2025, after parting ways with his previous label, Tres retreated to Topanga Canyon with little more than an MPC and a clear head. The isolation reshaped his process. Working alongside collaborators including Thundercat, Nick Sylvester, Pharrell Williams, he refined the sound he’s long described as “Compton House”—sleek, physical, soulful music that feels equally suited for headphones at 2 a.m. or packed rooms just before sunrise.

17 years into an impressive career, Citizen still feel like underdogs who have never quite fit in. The band’s persistent sonic evolution and refusal to make the same record twice has earned them a reputation as one of the most consistently captivating bands in modern rock music. But following your own path often means walking it alone, and their unlikely rise from a band of Toledo high schoolers to long-running headliners capable of selling out shows around the world has been hard-earned. It's precisely this commitment to their craft that has led to their new album, Halcyon Blues. It’s a dynamic and confident culmination of all that’s come before, making it crystal clear that for all their sonic restlessness, Citizen have always known exactly who they are. From the start, the band–vocalist Mat Kerekes, guitarist Nick Hamm, bassist Eric Hamm, along with newer members guitarist Mason Mercer and drummer Ben Russin–were steadfastly determined to follow their creativity wherever it led. Over the years they deftly moved through raw emo, menacing post-hardcore, anthemic alternative, garage-y indie pop, and so much more. Now Halcyon Blues brings elements from throughout their entire catalog together into a singular and instantly satisfying record that just sounds like Citizen. In the band’s earlier years, their sonic shifts were seen as a bug rather than a feature. “We’ve never easily known where we belong,” explains Kerekes.

Sitting at a corner café table, Benjamin Tod’s eyes light up when asked what it’s like to finally embrace happiness and accept love. With a slight grin, he sips his coffee and leans back, one arm draped casually and comfortably over the chair. “I’m kind of settling into my age, into allowing myself to be happy,” the 33-year-old says. “For years, I led myself and the people around me into a lot of unnecessary darkness. And now, I’ve learned how to give and receive affection — it’s helped heal a lot of parts of myself.” Tod’s demeanor is a far cry from his usual stiff posture stance with arms folded, this permeating sense of trepidation and scrutiny for what trouble may be coming down the pike. The relaxed, calm aura is a sign of a human being who has overcome lifelong personal demons, one who has finally become liberated — not only in his personal life, but also his music. “This latest record is so unusual for what I do,” Tod says. “It’s almost a spite album, to prove what I can do as a writer in whatever medium I step into.” Titled Shooting Star, the album carves a fresh creative path for Tod, a storied singer-songwriter and frontman of Lost Dog Street Band. The self-proclaimed “proprietor of misery,” Tod finds himself transcending into a life of gratitude, patience, and stability.

She Wants Revenge, the dark-alternative duo who first exploded onto the scene with the 2005 hit, “Tear You Apart”, are back with a new song, festival appearances, a new lineup, and a massive global audience hungry for the 3rd wave gothic rock they ushered in 2up and down decades before.

For Justin Warfield and Adam Bravin, She Wants Revenge began as a production duo making songs to DJ at clubs. But when a 3-song demo was passed to a friend, they signed to Geffen records, and soon the songs became the basis of their 2005 self-titled LP. They hit the road supporting Bloc Party, The Kills, and OKGO, and along the way, “Tear You Apart” became a bona fide hit. Soon they were opening for Depeche Mode, The Psychedelic Furs, Placebo, co-headlining with Peter Murphy of Bauhaus, headlining Coachella alongside Daft Punk, and in constant rotation on alternative rock across the country. In under a year the oddball tune they thought to be an evil cousin of the B52’s and Wall of Voodoo saw them blitzing through the late-night talk show circuit, and with singles “Out of Control”, and “These Things” also climbing the charts, they went on to sell over 300,000 albums.
