Modigliani Quartet
More details
César Franck’s String Quartet in D, with its full-fat romanticism played out across the monumental arc of four contrasting movements, amounts to a true late masterwork, one that deserves to be much better known. The Modigliani Quartet, hailed by the Sydney Morning Herald for the ‘elegance and shaded refinement’ of its playing, possesses the ideal tonal blend and power needed to dig deep into the emotional substance of this wonderful composition.
