Tchaikovsky's Symphony No. 5
More details
One-of-a-kind cellist, singer, and improviser Abel Selaocoe plays a new cello concerto written just for him by Jessie Montgomery, whose irrepressible vitality and imagination make her a star amongst today’s composers. Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No. 5 represents the very essence of Russian music with its shifting moods, high-flung lyricism, and torrential emotions. Plus, experience an exhilarating sleigh ride, Glinka’s Overture to Ruslan and Ludmilla.
