More details
In 1926, Henry Wood invited a 72-year-old Leoš Janáček to visit the Academy, where he observed an orchestral rehearsal in the Duke’s Hall. A hundred years later, we’re celebrating Janáček’s passionate, utterly original output for pianists. Students perform his complete solo piano and chamber duo music, as well as ensemble pieces including the Concertino, introduced by our Dame Myra Hess Chair of Piano, Joanna MacGregor.
