Artistic Director Ryan Jolicoeur-Nye’s production of The Nutcracker for Oklahoma City Ballet is a vibrant reimagining of the holiday classic that blends traditional magic with fresh, whimsical twists. Debuting to rave reviews in 2024, this lavish production features challenging choreography, cinematic sets, and over 195 handcrafted costumes designed by some of the industry’s top artisans.

Don Quixote is a vibrant, witty ballet that pairs high-spirited comedy with dazzling dancing. Inspired by Miguel de Cervantes’ beloved novel, the ballet follows the misadventures of the delusional yet endearing Don Quixote alongside the joyous love story of two spirited young villagers.

Far from being simply mad, or even truly a knight, Don Quixote is an aging nobleman who has read so many tales of chivalry that he becomes convinced he is destined to live one himself. Setting out on a quest to revive honor, right wrongs, and protect the innocent, he charges headlong into a world that no longer operates by the ideals he cherishes.

Future Voices features several short works by up-and-coming choreographers, all of whom are company dancers. These dancer/choreographers must submit their ideas to be accepted into Future Voices, then they create a new work on their peers, selecting costumes, music, and creating brand new choreography.

Witness a mesmerizing pas de deux with a transforming Caterpillar, navigate a chaotic tea party with the Mad Hatter, and face off against a formidable Queen of Hearts in a rigged game of croquet.
