The Masterwork – Schubert's Dramas

Franz Schubert, creator of more than 600 songs, devoted himself for years to composing theatrical music. However, the hoped-for success eluded him, which was due primarily to mediocre libretti, and so aside from the well-known Rosamunde, most people know only the overtures, such as the one to Der Spiegelritter. In our concert, these frame a selection of songs that were orchestrated by Schubert admirers such as Johannes Brahms, Hector Berlioz, Max...
