Västanå Musik & Teater

In Tiggarfolk & Herrskap, Västanå weaves together several stories from Selma's works that revolve around Lövdala. Moral questions about human nature and how life should be lived are pushed to their limits. In true Lagerlöf spirit, the supernatural is included as an ingredient for those who act unjustly. At the center are the cavaliers of Ekeby, the damned, former heroes who live a parasitic existence without status or means, yet at the same time are sought after and gifted artists.
