The songwriting process often starts with a preconceived story, idea, or image. In this workshop, percussionist, composer, and educator Marty Risemberg explores a more playful approach to writing songs through spontaneous improvisation using everyday sounds. Sampling voices and objects in the room, Risemberg will demonstrate how to manipulate them in a digital audio workstation, creating a new musical collaboration.
