Majken Christiansen Quintet with Lars Frank

Majken Christiansen sings swing jazz in the tradition of the great jazz divas, with Ella Fitzgerald as one of her greatest inspirations. But Majken - from Copenhagen, based in Oslo - does her thing with an open and contemporary expression, and whatever she sings, she conveys the timeless lyrics and melodies from the golden age of jazz with warmth, honesty and conviction.
