Gezeitenkonzerte in Ostfriesland

This tidal concert promises musical “encounters!” of a special kind, as the Mongolian-Persian ensemble Sedaa blends the archaic sounds of traditional Mongolian music with Oriental harmonies and rhythms into a fascinating journey along the Silk Road.

In the year's final concert, "Malte Viefs Kammer" presents its program "Winter" – a musical invitation to pause and reflect. Old tunes in new arrangements, original compositions (including the small suite "Winterreise") and tributes to the Renaissance and Baroque.

A true top-tier orchestra returns to the Gezeitenkonzerte series: the NDR Radiophilharmonie Hannover performs under the direction of Andrew Manze, its former chief conductor. Matthias Kirschnereit is the soloist in Ludwig van Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 3.
