Humorist Jean Shepherd’s memoir of growing up in the Midwest in the 1940s follows 9-year-old Ralphie in his quest for a genuine Red Ryder BB gun under the Christmas tree. Ralphie pleads his case before his mother, teacher, and even Santa Claus! The consistent response: “You’ll shoot your eye out!” Includes all the elements from the beloved 1983 movie, which means lots of holiday fun for the whole family.
