Making music in a world troubled with war, pandemic, and hardship asserts the promise of a new beginning. Chin’s program, which includes Bach, Mozart, Schubert, and Schumann, departs from the front-and-center performance model. Chin instead proposes a way of interacting with the musical space that allows the audience’s imagination to chart its own path through the repertoire.
