Join the School of Music in celebrating the life and centenary of distinguished and beloved American composer, conductor, percussionist, and educator William Kraft (1923-2022). William Kraft was a member of the Los Angeles Philharmonic from 1955 to 1985, served as the Philharmonic’s composer-in-residence from 1981 to 1985, founded its New Music Group (the predecessor to the “Green Umbrella” Series), and later taught composition on the faculties of UCLA and UC Santa Barbara.
