About

The first concert of the new season is conducted by William Stevens. William is an educator and band conductor in the Arlington School District and has been a guest conductor with the Northern Dutchess Symphony and with the WSO in our Woodstock Chamber Orchestra days. He is also a sought-after clarinetist in the mid-Hudson Valley music world. His program, titled 'Music of the People' includes the tone poems 'The Banks of Green Willow' by George Butterworth and 'Wood Notes' by William Grant Still, as well as the overture to 'Bastien et Bastienne' by Mozart and Beethoven's 'Symphony No. 3: 'Eroica'.
