Dudamel introduces us to Heitor Villa-Lobos’ Uirapuru—subtitled “O passarinho encantado” (The Enchanted Little Bird)—a ballet score inspired by the innumerable melodies produced by a legendary bird from the composer’s homeland, Brazil.
