The splendor of the French Baroque viola da gamba is celebrated in this virtuosic program. Included are works of the great rivals Antoine Forqueray (who played like the “devil”), Marin Marais (who played like an “angel”), and Le Sieur de Machy. Join gambist Caroline Nicolas, lutenist Kevin Payne, and harpsichordist Elliot Figg as they take you on a thrilling musical journey.
