Pianist Michelle Cann is the recipient of the 2022 Sphinx Medal of Excellence, the highest honor bestowed by the Sphinx Organization, the 2022 Andrew Wolf Chamber Music Award, and the Cleveland Institute of Music’s 2022 Alumni Achievement Award. She has won top prizes in competitions including the Blount Slawson Young Artists Competition and the Wideman International Piano Competition.
