Join us for an enlightening OLLI Presentation: "Tour of the Orchestra Concert Journeys: 1812 Overture LIVE," featuring the Terre Haute Symphony Orchestra. This special event is scheduled for Tuesday, October 31, 2023, from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM at Westminster Village, located at 1120 East Davis Drive, Terre Haute, IN, 47802, United States.

In anticipation of the THSO's 1812 Overture LIVE concert on November 4th, THSO Fourth Horn, Layne Anspach, will lead a presentation in collaboration with the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI). This session will provide attendees with a rich overview of historical and contextual information about the concert's repertoire, enhancing the live performance experience. The repertoire includes Richard Strauss’ "Don Juan" and "Death & Transfiguration," Eric Ewazen’s "Down a River of Time" for oboe and orchestra, and culminates with Tchaikovsky’s iconic 1812 Overture in its entirety.
