Join us for an enlightening "Conversation with Ukrainian Guest Artists" at the Upper Valley Music Center, located at 8 South Park Street, Lebanon, NH, 03766, United States. This special event is scheduled for Thursday, April 11, from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm EDT and is open to the public free of charge.

We are honored to welcome curator Veronika Yadukha, along with esteemed composers Albert Saprykin, Boris Loginov, and violinist Orest Smovzh. They will present and discuss their creative work, offering insights into their collaborative efforts and individual projects. This event is part of a residency and includes the US premiere performance of "Amadoka" at Dartmouth, a music piece based on the novel by Sofia Andrukhovych. The composers have each translated a volume of the novel into music, creating distinct pieces that unite to offer a singular listening experience. This performance aims to immerse attendees into Ukraine’s past and present through the medium of music.

Additionally, Veronika Yadukha has collaborated with a Oaxaca-based artist to create three ceramic musical instruments, further exploring the novel’s themes in the project "How Text Becomes Clay." This presentation will not only delve into the artists' collaboration on this unique piece but also showcase the innovative ceramic instruments.
