The Iranian-Jewish mezzo-soprano explores culture and identity as a first-generation American in a program that grapples with the complex realities of living the American dream. Including works of Maurice Ravel, Alan Smith, Kurt Weill, Niloufar Nourbakhsh, and the world premiere of Peter Knell’s “What is it”.
