Join us for an enchanting evening of Baroque music at the Alice Millar Spring Festival Concert, featuring the Alice Millar Chapel Choir and Baroque Music Ensemble under the baton of Stephen Alltop. This special concert will take place on Saturday, May 11, 2024, at 7:00pm CDT in the stunning Alice Millar Chapel, located at 1870 Sheridan Road, Evanston, IL 60208.

The evening's program is dedicated to two magnificent cantatas by Johann Sebastian Bach: Cantata 43, "Gott fähret auf mit Jauchzen," and Cantata 172, "Erschallet, ihr Lieder, erklinget, ihr Saiten." These pieces, written to celebrate the feasts of Ascension and Pentecost, respectively, will showcase the exuberant sounds of trumpets, timpani, and strings, alongside splendid music for solo voices and choir, creating a truly festive atmosphere.
