LBMF Opening Night: Hymns, Songs and Sonatas

Experience the musical languages of Charles Ives and Johannes Brahms, performed by Jeremy Denk and Stefan Jaciw. In between the Ives Sonatas, chorus members will intersperse popular hymns which the sonatas are based upon. Preceding Brahms’ Sonata No. 1, his Regenlied (“Rain Song”) from Lieder, Op. 59 will be performed by Jeremy Denk and soloist.
